Great Christmas Reads

We have reached the portion of the program where all I want to do is sit in a cozy chair and read.  That’s how every year should end:  reading something good somewhere warm.  Sadly, I cannot provide shelter for everyone, but I can offer up some enjoyable holiday reading suggestions.  I should think anyone would be delighted to find one of the following gifted to them.  You can even gift them to yourself!

For Everyone:

A Christmas Carol  by Charles Dickens.

It’s a classic for a reason.  Read it!

A Christmas Carol

For Kids:

Greenglass House by Kate Milford

This book would charm the pants off a polar bear.  If you like mysteries, Christmas, and snowbound adventure, you’ll love it:

Greenglass House

The Toymaker’s Apprentice  by Sherri L. Smith

Okay, so I’m gonna schill here for a minute.  This is out in paperback now and really, I think you’ll like it.  If you don’t , I’ll write you another one.

The Toymaker's Apprentice

For Adults:

Still Life by Louise Penny

If you haven’t read the Inspector Gamache series, do yourself a favor.  Put on the kettle, bake some cookies and settle end.  These books put the cozy in murder mysteries:

Still Life

What do you fancy reading this time of year?  What are you gifting your loved ones?  (I’d tell you my book giving list, but that would ruin the surprise!)
